1 Daily Texts contain "watchwords" (Losungen) of inspiration and guidance for Moravian Christians (Herrnhuter Brüdergemeinde/Unitas Fratrum). The texts consist of an Old Testament collection of sayings chosen by drawing lots, the actual "watchword", and a randomly selected teaching from the New Testament. The Daily Texts are updated every year.

The Moravian Church was founded in 1722 in Bohemia by the Herrnhut community (near Görlitz, Oberlausitz). Moravians believe they are Christians through their deeds and are therefore very active as missionaries.
