| Christiane Fichtner - Biography | |
| 1974 | Christiane Fichtner is born out of wedlock in Le Nairac, Massif Central, France. |
| Her mother is from Germany and is only 16 years old. She decides to give her child up for adoption. Christiane is adopted by the French couple Leclaire Dûsse. | |
| 1986 | Her adoptive parents die in a car accident. Christiane is taken in by the sister |
| of her adoptive mother in Paris. | |
| 1990 | Christiane Fichtner changes her name to Claire Leclaire Dûsse. |
| School psychologists diagnose her as having behavioral problems. | |
| 1991 | She experiments with drugs for the first time. She drops out of school and decides to |
| become an artist. | |
|
1992 | She joins the punk band "pas sur la bouche" and is somewhat successful as a singer, |
| lyricist and costume artist. | |
| 1993 | She is arrested several times for the possession and consumption of drugs. |
| She starts drawing and develops her first fashion designs. She also designs the costumes for her band. The group is a hit in the French underground scene. People like their raw, avant-garde sound. They start playing more festivals and events. DAMAGE, the Paris-based label, notices the group because of their interesting costumes, music and performance. | |
| 1994 | The band signs with the DAMAGE label. |
| The band performs numerous gigs and records 2 albums: POSH and DECLAIRE. | |
| 1995 | The band breaks up because of internal fighting and drugs. One of the band members dies |
| from the effects of drug abuse. Claire Leclaire Dûsse's attempts to launch a solo career fail. | |
| 1996 | The Charles Cartwright gallery in Paris expresses interest in Claire Leclaire Dûsse after |
| seeing her perform on stage. The gallery organizes special performance evenings for her. | |
| The success is groundbreaking for her career. | |
| 1997 | Her performance is a huge success at the International Performance Festival in Paris, France. |
| She takes part in many performance festivals and performs in galleries all over Europe. | |
| 1998 | She goes through her first drug detoxification program at Hôpital Universitaire Saint-Louis, |
| Paris. | |
| 1999 | She is a guest star on the DVD D.A.F.T. - A Story about Dogs, Androids, Firemen and |
| Tomatoes, by Daft Punk. | |
| 2000 | Her half-brother dies in a traffic accident. She suffers a relapse, starts taking drugs again, |
| and is unable to do any artistic work. | |
| 2001 | She goes through her second drug rehabilitation program at Hôpital Universitaire Saint-Louis, |
| Paris. | |
| 2002 | She starts doing new performances. |
| 2004 | She goes through her third detoxification program at Hôpital Universitaire Saint-Louis, Paris. |
| 2005 | Spring: She suffers severe depression while going through the detoxification program. |
Summer: She is released from the clinic. Autumn: She suffers another relapse. In a fit of despair, Claire Leclaire Dûsse decides to commits suicide. She jumps from the roof of a tall building and is killed instantly. | |
